Rapper, actor, and Long Beach native Snoop Dogg is the face of the exclusive poster-printing project at the 2025 Impressions Expo in Long Beach, California (January 23-25). Organized by the Ink Kitchen, this live screen-printing event brings the decorated apparel industry together to raise funds for Care Closet LBC, a local charity dedicated to supporting the homeless.
Whether you are a print shop owner looking to network with leaders or a decorator eager to see master techniques in action, this year’s poster station is a must-visit destination on the expo floor.
The Story Behind the Snoop Dogg Poster
When brainstorming subjects that represent Long Beach, Ink Kitchen partner Pam Ikegami immediately suggested Snoop Dogg. The connection quickly proved to be a perfect fit.
Duke Givens, the head of Care Closet LBC and a long-time beneficiary of the Ink Kitchen’s charitable efforts, grew up with the legendary rapper. Givens, who has taken hundreds of photos of his childhood friend over the years, provided the original image for the poster. With full support and permission from Snoop Dogg’s team, the project quickly moved from concept to reality.
Live Demonstrations and Hands-On Expertise
For the past five years, the Ink Kitchen has used the Impressions Expo to showcase live screen-printing demonstrations while giving back to the community. Attendees gain exclusive insights into the printing process by watching experts at work.
The 2025 poster features the creative work of designer Alyx Spurrier and will be printed live on the show floor by master printer and Squeegeeville founder Andy MacDougall. Both Spurrier and MacDougall are veterans of the Ink Kitchen’s poster-printing program, offering attendees a firsthand look at top-tier decorating techniques.
The Decorated Apparel Industry Gives Back
The decorated apparel industry has already shown massive support for this initiative, with over $10,000 pledged by various companies before a single poster has even been printed. All proceeds from the poster sales at the show go directly to Care Closet LBC to assist thousands of people currently living on the streets of Long Beach.
We extend massive kudos to the following generous contributors who make this transformative work possible:
- Apparel & Blanks: SanMar, Los Angeles Apparel, Jerzees, LAT Apparel, DGI Apparel, Next Level Apparel, S&S Activewear, Gildan, Hanes Printwear, Royal Apparel
